Jacksonville Dental Office Adds Commercial Window Tint

Audio Designs and Custom Graphics in Jacksonville was recently tasked with installing commercial window tint on a total of 106 windows at the offices of Caven Dental Group. The client wanted to reduce glare and heat transfer into the dental suites so that the staff and clients would be more comfortable. We were also asked to add frosted privacy film to two offices. Let’s look at the materials and the process we used to complete this unique project.

Suntek Commercial Window Tint

The window film will help reduce the light coming into the building during the hot Florida summers.

After consulting with our clients, we suggested the SunTek Dual-ReflectiveDS in a 15 percent visible light transmission (VLT). Dual-ReflectiveDS film offers a warm, neutral look while blocking 99 percent of the UV energy to protect patients and staff. This amazing film blocks 71 percent of the total solar energy from the sun to help keep the offices cool and comfortable.

Our team measured the dimensions and geometry of each of the 106 windows we were asked to treat to ensure the film would be a perfect fit. We cut all the film using our CNC plotter before leaving the shop. Once on site, the glass was cleaned to ensure that no debris would be caught under the film and produce bubbles. We finished by installing the film and cleaning around each window to remove the slip agent and any water from the installation process.

Privacy Film Solution

Next on our list was to install SunTek Frost Film on the windows of the administrative offices. This film allows light to enter the room but acts like etched glass to obscure visibility. The client wanted to ensure that documents and information would not be visible through the windows and that they were in compliance with all privacy guidelines.

Just as with the tint film, our team measured each window and we cut the film using our CNC plotter before arriving on site for the installation. By not cutting the film on the glass, we prevent nicks and scratches that could detract from the overall appearance of the installation.
