Building incredible mobile audio systems is one of our passions here at Audio Designs & Custom Graphics. We work to make our clients’ music sound better in every way – clearer, louder and more realistic. One question that comes up a lot is, “Do I need to change my radio to get better sound?” The short answer is no. Let’s look at a few reasons why.
Integration
The features integrated into factory-source units are continually improving. Many now include GPS navigation, CarPlay, Android Auto, and access to vehicle settings for illumination and your heating/cooling controls. When it comes time to upgrade your audio system, we have the experience and knowledge to keep your dash looking bone-stock while still giving you a sound system that’s easy to use. If your factory-installed radio has a separate radio information display on the dash or steering wheel-mounted controls, those would keep working the way you are used to.
Detail and clarity
Everything from the most bare-bones factory audio system right up to the “premium” offerings can benefit from new speakers to dramatically increase the clarity and realism of your system. Better speakers will mean you will be able to hear fine details in your music. As a bonus, aftermarket speakers can handle more power than the little factory speakers that came with your car.
Turn it up
We carry amplifiers that were designed specifically to connect to factory-source units and can undo the settings that the automakers build into factory radios. These amplifiers provide you with a clean, clear signal that will make those new speakers sing like you can’t imagine. Not only will they play louder, but they will be crystal-clear and free of distortion. Even European vehicles such as Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Mini-Cooper and Range Rover with MOST fiber optic connections to their factory amplifiers are easy for us to upgrade with new amplifiers and speakers.
Ready to rumble
A popular option is to add a subwoofer to a factory audio system. You may be happy with the sound of your speakers, but are missing some bass. We can design a subwoofer system that meets your needs – anything from just warming up the sound to building a ground-pounding system that will rattle your mirrors and shake your teeth fillings!
Safe and sound
Leaving your factory radio in the dash helps conceal any other upgrades we may do to your audio system. If an unsavory character looks in your window, everything looks as if it just rolled off the assembly line – nothing that will tempt a thief is visible. The OEM appearance means your investment remains yours – no hassles and no stress.
Contact us today or, better yet, come by the store. We can look at your vehicle and discuss your system upgrade options. Once we understand your needs, we will create a unique, no-obligation quote for you. Let us show you why Mobile Electronics magazine chose us as one of the Top 12 Car Audio retailers in the USA for 2014 and 2015.

I have a 2000 GTP Daytona 500 that came with the bose system. While it sounds okay, i know its weak. Noids or highs in the rear, just base. Id like a double din nav touchscreen head unit and some decent speakers with some base. Suggestions and price range would be appreciated. The entire wiring is bone stock.. Thanks. Also need windows tinted, so an est on that would be great. All windows and strip on windshield. Thanks again
