Audio Designs & Custom Graphics recently did a vehicle wrap on a 2009 Chevy Suburban. We decided that we wanted this vehicle to pop, so we did a multi-layer design on the film. We started with an Avery chrome wrap material to really make the color stand out, and we laminated a green Helix wrap material on top of it. The green material is translucent, and the chrome material underneath gave it a neon effect. In fact, it almost looks like it is glowing. If you are a Batman fan, the Joker would look right at home driving this vehicle!
For Audio Designs & Custom Graphics, It’s All About The Details
If you look closely at the wrap, it is the details that set this vehicle apart from the competition. Many shops will cut out the vinyl around items like door handles, headlights, taillights, and so on. Not Audio Designs & Custom Graphics! We remove any item that some of our competition would simply cut around. The reason is very simple to us: It is the right thing to do. Other shops will cut around items to save time and money. Many shops are not set up to properly disassemble and reassemble vehicles. For us, it is just another day on the job. When you cut around items, the vinyl will start to peel over time, resulting in a wrap that is going to fail much sooner. Inevitably, when you cut around items, you are also going to have the paint color come through around the edges. At Audio Designs and Custom Graphics, that is not acceptable.
Not Only Does This Wrap Look Great, It Also Protects The Paint And Is Removable
Look closely at the pictures. You will then notice that every single part of this Suburban has green color on it, just as if it had been repainted. We removed the door handles, headlights, taillights, mirrors, grill, and on and on. We even removed the emblems and reinstalled them after the wrap. Our single goal in doing a vehicle wrap for our customers is to give them a finished product that looks like a new paint job.
What is great about our work is it is reversible, and the film is protecting the painted finish below. Plus, getting a wrap done by us is a fraction of the cost of a custom paint job. Another bonus is when you go to sell the vehicle, if the new buyer does not like the color, it can be easily removed. So let’s say you have us do a wild color like this green on your 300c. Two years from now you decide to sell the car. If you had it painted, you need to find a buyer who loves neon green. If they prefer the original color of the 300c, you can have the wrap removed. The benefit to you is a much broader group of people who will be interested in the car. It is a win-win for everyone.
