We have invested thousands of dollars on a window tint plotter for our film.  Let’s explore what a plotter is and why you want to have your window film installed by a company that uses one.

A window tint plotter is a computer controlled film cutting device that uses software very much like CAD software to create perfectly cut patterns for the window film. The computer itself has thousands and thousands of patterns loaded into it.

The Advantages of A Window Tint Plotter Are Significant

•  A shop that “hand cuts” your film is using your vehicle as a cutting board. They will have a razor blade on your glass and near your weather-stripping and paint. Does that sound like a good idea to you?
• The film is cut perfectly from the plotter. You will have no wavy lines near the top of your side windows or jagged edges. These are all things of the past when using a window tint plotter.
• Most importantly, it shows that the window tint facility that you have chosen has made a several thousand dollar investment in order to give you the highest quality work available.  I think that says a lot about the integrity and customer focus of our company.

Some companies will even have a window tint plotter and not always use it.  This makes even less sense to us than hand cutting film. You see, some tinters were taught hand cutting and feel they are faster doing it that way, and the shop may give in to that installer. We can’t even wrap our head around that one.
